Off on politics again

I'm somewhat nuts, I know. Who would have thought this would be the subject of my blog for the last 2 times. Next one will be house pictures, I promise. But here I go again...

I am getting so frustrated! I'm not the biggest fan of Obama, which a lot of people know. But he's our President, but that doesn't mean that I have to agree with his policies. I am just seeing the Democratic/Liberal Party and Media as the biggest hypocrites in the entire world. And this is why. Rush Limbaugh (I feel like my Father's daughter so much right now...), on his talk show discussed how he wants Obama to fail. Not because he's black, and not even necessarily because he's a Democrat, but because his policies are so left wing and what it will do in the long term to America. I agree with him. I am not caught up in this media mess of thinking that Obama is so wonderful and will fix all of our problems. I actually believe that he's going to make them worse, but still manage to blame it on the Republican Party and Bush, and since the media kisses the ground he walks on, the public won't hear anything differently. Anyway, here are some articles that have led up to why I am so frustrated I'm publishing this on facebook.

The interview that started it all:

st.html
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_0 12209/content/01125108.guest.html

Both these articles are transcripts from interviews with Rush Limbaugh discusses his view on Obama's policies and how he doesn't like them. Sadly, not only the Democratic Party, but even some members of the Republican Party have told him to practically shut up. Obama has even told Republican leaders to not listen to Rush Limbaugh. How ridiculous is that? (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/01/23/obama-quit-listening-rush-limbaugh-want-things/) So I think that's stupid in the first place. That Obama is telling Republican's, if you want this to work, you can't have your own ideas. It's my way or the high way. My plans are going to get passed no matter what, and you better not get in my way. This is bad enough for me, but then I read this article this morning about Democrats actually starting a petition against Rush Limbaugh.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/01/27/dems-launch-online-petition-rush-limbaugh/

What ever happened to Free Speech? Are we not allowed to say what we think, especially if it's against policies that we don't agree with? How hypocritical can the Democratic party get? They speak about freedoms, and change, and having an open mind. They speak about people who can think for themselves and make their own decisions, but what they really mean is we have to think like them, and act they way they want us to, or we're wrong. I am so disappointed in our government. Rush Limbaugh is not saying anything that is worthy of "treason" or not being published. His remarks are not anarchy. Did we see the Republicans start petitions against media leaders in their remarks about Bush and their many derogatory comments made towards him? This is simply ridiculous.

I'm a Republican

So, those of you who have actually heard me talk about politics, know that I am not the most supportive of Obama. I wasn't a huge supporter of McCain either (lets be honest, I was not the most involved person since I was gone for most of all the electional hooha), but there's just something about Obama that makes me nervous. But it just feels like everyone and their dog are supporting him, even friends that I have that I didn't realize were that liberally minded. Which is fine. Politics are such a touchy subject, and I try not to offend people, but I just have to say it. I do not like Obama. I do not like is policies. And I really hope that he doesn't get a chance to put many of them into place. I don't like what his ideas could do to this country. Everyone just hears the word "change" and jumps, thinking that this could be the greatest move ever. But I just don't feel like they are thinking ahead. So, here I am. A fairly conservitive, right wing Republican wondering what the next four years are going to be like, and praying that he's only President for four. But one of my new Sister-in-Law's posted this on her facebook site and I liked it alot. I like that there are republicans in the limelight who aren't just caving in to liberal ideaology. So, if you feel inclined, feel free to read this little blip from Rush Limbaugh (I feel like my Dad that I'm actually posting this) http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_0 11609/content/01125113.guest.html.

I'm Married!

Woah! I just got back from my honeymoon. We didnt' take pictures, so there is no visual record of our freezing selves as we didn't have any heat on the way down. However, St. George was beautiful! It was great to be able to get away and just relax and be with ourselves. And it was great to come home and just go into our apartment that Anna had spent the weekend decorating. I'll get pictures of that up too, I just have to take them and not be at work. :) But life is great!! Mostly I just wanted to give you all a sneak peak of my wedding pictures!

These are on my photographers blog http://jaephotography.blogspot.com/2009/01/shelly-scott-wedding.html and you should all go!
